InvisalignFind out how these popular invisible braces could give you the straighter smile you’ve been looking for.

Tired of people noticing your crooked smile? Wish you could show off a gorgeous straight smile but worried that you’re too old for braces? Luckily, it’s never too late to get that smile you want and you don’t even need to sport that stereotypical metal mouth while you do it. Find out how your team of Lexington dentists Drs. John Thompson, William Lee and Pada Chalothorn can straighten your smile invisibly with Invisalign.

The Science Behind Invisalign

You probably already knew that Invisalign is made up of a series of clear aligners that look similar to a mouth guard or whitening tray. So, how do these aligners actually straighten teeth? Based on impressions and measurements taken of your smile by your Lexington dentist, an Invisalign dental lab uniquely designs each aligner to fit your teeth. These aligners are specially designed to move teeth in a specified sequence as determined by us during your first visit. How many aligners you will need to wear will depend on the severity of your condition.

Wearing Your Invisalign Aligners

Every two weeks, you will replace your aligners with the next set in your treatment series. While aligners can be removed for brushing and eating, patients should wear them for a minimum of 22 hours each day in order to achieve the results they want by their estimated treatment time. Each aligner is created to use controlled force to slowly push teeth into the proper position. In about a year, many of our adult patients have been able to get the results they want without having to wear noticeable braces. Pretty neat, huh?

Ready to discover whether Invisalign is right for you? Then it’s high time you called TLC Dentistry to schedule an orthodontic consultation. Let us help you get the smile you’ve always dreamed about.
